Workers from India for your company

As a recruitment agency for India, we bring foreign staff from India to companies across Romania, from unskilled Indian workers to skilled trades. If you searched for “Indian workers”, “workforce from India”, “recruitment agency India” or “foreign staff from India”, you are on the right page: we tell you on the same working day whether we can organise recruitment from India for your positions, roughly what it costs and how long it takes.

India offers the largest pool of candidates we work with, especially for technical trades in construction, industry and transport. We recruit directly, with our own team, on site or online, and with the support of our Dubai office; as a fallback, for volumes we cannot cover ourselves, we rely on licensed local partners in several Indian states. Hiring follows the D/AM2 visa procedure: a cerere unică (single application) filed by the agency in WorkinRomania.gov.ro, a visa at the Romanian Embassy in New Delhi and a permis unic (single permit) from IGI (General Inspectorate for Immigration).

How we run the selection

  1. Pre-selection according to the job description: COR code, specific processes or machines, years of experience, level of English, age and availability.
  2. Verification of documents and experience: passport, ITI certificates or technical diplomas (where they exist), references from previous employers, including from the Gulf.
  3. Video interview with the employer, with an interpreter for Hindi, Punjabi or other regional languages if needed.
  4. Filmed practical test for skilled trades: welders weld on the required process and position, electricians wire a simple circuit, CNC operators work from a drawing.
  5. Basic medical check in India, before the contract is signed.
  6. For orders of more than 50 workers, the employer's representatives can attend the selection in India; the trip is paid for by the agency.
  7. Final list approved by the employer, followed by signing of the placement contract and the individual employment contract.

Interviews and practical testing

The practical test takes place in a workshop made available locally, based on a test sheet agreed with you. For welders we usually require seams in positions 1G–3G (or 6G for pipes), on the indicated material; for electricians, assembling a panel or a circuit from a diagram; for CNC, machining a simple part from a drawing. The video recording and photographs of the parts go to the employer, who decides. We do not issue qualification certificates; the legal verification of the qualification is done after arrival, according to the requirements of the position.

Languages spoken

Candidates speak Hindi, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu or other regional languages, depending on the state. English is more widespread than in other source countries, but the level remains uneven, from basic to conversational; technicians with vocational schooling and those with Gulf experience usually read drawings and instructions in English. We check the level in the interview and, on request, through a short written test. Romanian is learned after arrival, in the mandatory course provided by the employer.

The worker's documents

  • Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the visa period, with 2 blank pages.
  • Criminal record certificate (Police Clearance Certificate) issued by the Indian authorities, translated into Romanian, English or French and legalised. India is a party to the Hague Convention, so an apostille is used; the accepted form is checked with the consulate on the filing date.
  • Travel medical insurance (meeting the requirements of art. 27^2, point (1), letter a) of OUG 194/2002, republished) of at least EUR 30,000 for the visa period.
  • Proof of means of subsistence for 90 days at the level of the gross minimum wage, unless the firm job offer states otherwise.
  • CV, diplomas and qualification certificates translated and apostilled, if the position requires them; for drivers, the driving licence.
  • 3x4 photographs and biometric data at the consulate.
  • Emigration formalities required by the Indian authorities for certain passport categories (ECR): checked by our team (or by the local partner, if needed) on the departure date.

The stages, from request to arrival

1. Employer registration and the firm job offer

Account on hub.mai.gov.ro, registration in WorkinRomania.gov.ro (ANOFM (National Employment Agency) answer within 30 working days at most), vacancy declared with ANOFM and the ofertă fermă (firm job offer) with the elements in art. 6 of GEO 32/2026. The number of foreign nationals requested by a legal entity cannot exceed the average number of employees in the previous year.

2. Service contract and selection in India

We sign the service contract based on the framework model in MMFTSS Order no. 655/2026, then organise the pre-selection, video interviews and practical tests. The employer approves the final list.

3. The contracts with the worker

Placement contract and bilingual individual employment contract (Romanian + English or Hindi), full-time, salary at least at the level of the national gross minimum wage, registered in REGES-ONLINE before the single application.

4. The single application

We file the cerere unică (single application) in the platform with the contracts, the organisation chart, the CV, the apostilled criminal record, the insurance and the proof of means of subsistence. IGI (General Inspectorate for Immigration) confirms that the conditions are met within 30 days at most, within the annual quota.

5. The D/AM2 visa in New Delhi

The candidate appears at the Romanian Embassy in New Delhi (or at the consular office indicated on eviza.mae.ro on the filing date) with the originals and submits biometrics. Decision within 30 days at most; the legal fee for the long-stay visa is EUR 300. The application cannot be filed more than 3 months before arrival.

6. Arrival and single permit

We pick the workers up on entry into Romania and take them to the workplace or accommodation. The application for the permis unic (single permit) is filed with IGI at least 30 days before the 90-day visa expires, with a medical certificate, proof of housing and travel medical insurance (meeting the requirements of art. 27^2, point (1), letter a) of OUG 194/2002, republished). The permit lasts for the duration of the contract, maximum 2 years, and is extended through a single application without a new visa.

The employer's responsibilities

THE EMPLOYER DOES
  • Payment of the salary only into a bank account; banks can open an account based on the D/AM2 visa or the permit.
  • Bilingual individual employment contract, with all the elements of the firm job offer.
  • Occupational health and safety (SSM) training and protective equipment; the internal or ISCIR authorisations required for welders, electricians and forklift operators are obtained after arrival.
  • Romanian language courses for at least 6 months, at least 6 hours per week.
  • Rent of at most 25% of the net salary, if you provide accommodation, with no automatic withholding.
  • Notification within 5 working days to the agency and IGI of unjustified absences of more than 3 working days or of termination of the contract.
  • The worker must be employed in the occupation with the COR code from the contract; otherwise, a fine of 10,000–20,000 lei.

Travel arrangements

Flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi or other major airports, usually with one stopover. By law, the ticket and domestic transport are borne by the worker unless the firm job offer states otherwise; many employers choose to advance the ticket and recover it in instalments, with a clause in the contract. We notify the employer at least 10 days before arrival, pick the group up at the airport and provide transport to the destination.
